Campus Olympics
The most unhinged competition on campus
Teams of 5-8 compete in a series of absurd Olympic events — dizzy bat relay, musical chairs championship, human hungry hippos, etc. Think Field Day meets Total Wipeout. Maximum chaos, maximum content.
What You Need
Step-by-Step Guide
Design 6-8 Events
Mix physical challenges, silly games, and team strategy. Ideas: dizzy bat relay, musical chairs, tug of war, egg relay, three-legged race, water balloon toss, human hungry hippos, trivia relay.
Form Teams in Advance
Have people sign up by team (or assign randomly). 4-6 teams of 5-8 each. Give teams names and colors.
Book a Large Outdoor Space
You need a BIG space — athletic field, large quad, or parking lot. Reserve it through campus facilities 2+ weeks in advance.
Recruit Volunteers
You need 4-6 volunteers beyond the ambassador team to manage stations, keep score, and handle logistics.
Run Events on a Schedule
Events run every 15-20 minutes. All teams compete simultaneously or in heats. Keep a running scoreboard visible to all.
Grand Finale + Awards
End with the highest-stakes event (tug of war, relay race). Do a dramatic medal ceremony. Spray silly string or confetti.
Promotion Tips
- •This is a 2-week promotion event — start early
- •Post team recruitment content: 'build your squad'
- •Tease individual events with demo videos
- •Create a bracket or team ranking story series
- •This should be your biggest event of the semester
Content Capture Tips
This is your BEST content event. Film everything. Have 2-3 camera people. The dizzy bat relay, the human hungry hippos, and the medal ceremony are guaranteed viral clips. Do slo-mo replays. Interview teams trash-talking before events.
